Callanish Free Church: Notices 23rd August 2026

We welcome you to our services today and especially welcome you if you are visiting with us.

· Morning service will be at 11.00am, taken by Rev Thomas Davis (Carloway)

· Sunday School will resume on Sunday 30th August for all school-age children

· Creche is available during the morning service and welcomes babies and pre-school children, to enable parents of little ones to attend the morning service.

· Tea is served in Church Hall after morning service; everyone warmly invited

· Evening service will be at 6.00pm, taken by Mr Gordon Macleod (Minister in Training)

· Weekly prayer meeting will be on Thursday evening at 7.30pm, all are welcome.

· Presbytery meet Tues 25th August at 10.30am in MA Hall, Kenneth St Stornoway

· The Ordination and Induction of Rev Scott Macleod – to the charge of Park Free Church will take place on Tuesday, 25th August, 2026, at 7pm, subject to the successful completion of ordination trials. The service will be taken by Rev Colin Macleod. Reception will follow in the Cabarfeidh Hotel at 9pm. All warmly invited.

· Reflections Afternoon Tea with Kate Forbes – ‘Courteous Courage’ – in Back Free Church on Saturday, 5th September from 2-4pm. All ladies are warmly invited to an afternoon of fellowship, refreshments and encouragement with Kate Forbes, former Deputy First Minister of Scotland, by video link. · Study Opportunity: Friday morning Systematics – ETS offers the opportunity for in-depth study of Systematic Theology every Friday morning throughout the academic year. This offers a wonderful opportunity to grow in knowledge of what the Bible teaches, to grow in confidence for wrestling with big questions & grow in love for the God who has done so much for us through His Son.
